George Girio

George obtained his BS degree in business administration from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He has furthered his education by attending various real estate and appraisal courses and seminars. Currently he is Vice President of the Girio Agency, Inc., an insurance and real estate brokerage firm located in Williamsport, PA.
In addition to more than 40 years as a Pennsylvania licensed real estate agent, he is also a licensed real estate instructor and insurance agent, a certified general appraiser, AQP certified USPAP instructor and a Certified Distance Education Instructor with CDEI™ designation.

George’s various memberships include the National Association of REALTORS®, Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®, current Director with the West Branch Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Council of Pennsylvania Real Estate Appraisers.
With a vast expertise in research and instruction, George has created three educational programs for the West Branch Valley Association of REALTORS®: Pennsylvania broker credit, the “New Member” orientation program (developed teaching material and implemented the program) and the “Member Review: Ethics, Policy and Procedure” (developed teaching material and implemented the program).

George is a firm believer in the strength of community. His extensive involvement includes serving as a volunteer coach, umpire and assistant district administration for Little League Baseball, volunteering as a Little League World Series Team Host (Uncle), Vice Chairman of the Lycoming County Housing Authority, member of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation Board of Directors, Past President and former member of both the South Williamsport Area School Board and South Williamsport Area Recreation Commission and a member and trustee of the First Ward Fire Company.

George is also President of Georgetown Manner, Inc., a real estate investment company, President of the Professional Career Learning Academy, Inc., a professional education provider, Past-President of the former Lycoming County Multiple List Service (now a part of the West Branch Valley Association of REALTORS®) and a General Accredited Appraiser GAA designee by the National Association of REALTORS®.

George and his wife Pat live in South Williamsport and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
